Well, as usual, it has been several weeks since I have been on the blog. I keep thinking that I will try to quickly post each evening, but that just doesn't end up happening. It certainly hasn't been for a lack of material. We have pretty much been going at a dead run for the entire summer. Over the next several days I am hoping to post a little about how we have spent our summer.
No summer is complete without a trip to Worlds of Fun. This past Tuesday we had a little time and decided to make a quick run to the park. Luckily we only had a few hours because it was extremely hot and by the end of the day we were extremely broke:) Within 5 minutes of being there, we had dropped $50 on drinks. They sell drinks that are $12 a piece and then the refills are $0.94. This would be great if you were planning on staying for a couple of days..you just might get you money's worth. Add the drink to their $10 (nasty) "mini" cheeseburger and you feel like you are paying to dine in NYC! I am convinced that place may be just be the #1 place to get ripped off! It was all worth it though as we watched the girls have a great time on all of the rides.
Cady and Avery taking a ride on the Flying Dutchman

Taking a ride on the caterpillar rollar coaster. Luckily, Cady was able to ride this with Avery. The sign said that a "responsible adult" could accompany a child. I guess they thought that person was Cady! I think she enjoyed the ride too.

Avery was all about the bumper cars. After a little help getting the hang of the wheel, she was all over the place in that little car.

If you look close you can see Ced and Conor on the Boomerang. This was Conor's first rollercoaster. It took Jalynn a few rides to get up the nerve to ride with him, so Ced gladly joined him for this experience. Jalynn thought it was just weird that he rode his first rollercoaster with her Dad!

Avery was pretty excited to give Charlie Brown a hug at Camp Snoopy. She knew who Snoopy was, but kept asking me who the yellow man was. She made friends with him quickly and ran up and gave him a hug and said, "I love you Charlie Brown."

Jalynn really did ride several rides. Evidently, I just didn't get any of them photographed. All in all it was a great day trip. I know Avery had a good time. The next morning she hopped out of bed and said, "Mommy, shouldn't we go to World's of Fun again today?"
