Cady wrapped up her first season of basketball yesterday with a tournament in Green City, MO. Ced coached her team this year. They had 11 girls play with about 9 of them being there most of the time. They played in 5 different tournaments and you could see improvement in each one of the girls as the season went on. Unfortunately, as a team they only won 1 game....but I tried to remind Ced that at this age it is all about the skills that they are being taught. The winning will come later......at least we hope that is the case! Winning or not...Cady had a great time. She made us proud at every game and was the leading scorer and rebounder in each game. Way to go Cady!

ECHO 2009

Since I am finally getting around to posting on my blog, I decided to randomly write about a few of the important things that have gone on in our family over the last few months. One of these was Jalynn being the Sophomore class Echo candidate. Each class votes on a boy and a girl to represent their class as the yearbook candidate and then the entire school votes to pick the king and queen. Although she wasn't chosen as the winner, she had a great time representing her class and looked absolutely beautiful for the ceremony.

GREAT WOLF LODGE
This past Thursday and Friday the girls were out of school for a day and a half, so we headed to KC for our annual spring overnight getaway. Each Christmas my grandparents give each of us money and ask us to buy gifts for our Christmas get together. We usually get the girls each something small to open and then save the rest of the money to use for this little family vacation. We have gone to Great Wolf Lodge the last couple of years and once again had a great time. It gave the girls an early taste of one of their favorite summertime activies...swimming.

Well....I have finally done it....my first official blog posting. The funny thing is that I was just trying to work on my layout and somehow I ended up getting this post. I have alot to learn! It feels like I have never used a computer before. Anyway, what better way to start off my blog than with this picture. This is a typical picture of how you might find Avery Ann if you visit our house. She likes to lounge around with her blankie and a good drink on our bed. She is a typical three year old and enjoys catching a few cartoons here and there. We love her very much and she is the perfect fit as the "little sister" in our family.
